Announcement

It has just been released that the groups system currently under development will not require you to be a member (groupie) of the group in order for you to submit art to that group [link]. That means unsubscribed groups can have an infinite number of users contribute art, not just the 100 groupies as was previously thought

How to Join

To join ~ZIM-Lovers, just send a note to the club titled Join and we’ll add you to the member list! And be sure to +watch us to receive the latest club news, contests, and submissions!

ZIM has ordered us to disregard comments to the front page or journals asking to join, as comments can be very easy to miss. If you request, via comment, to be added as a ZIM-Lovers member, it will be ignored. Please send a note.

This section has been given it’s own sub-journal and will be removed from the front page journal as soon as a link is added to the directory at the top of the front page journal.

The members of this club are slightly inactive. Nothing much really goes on except for submissions. That's why I made this journal to ask you, the member; if we created a new contest, would you please join it? I was thinking of the theme being "introduce a new scene, character, etc to the series" but if you have any other ideas, by all means, go right ahead! I also apologize for being so inactive, but I have been pretty busy. I am definitely going to try and login more from now on.

Hello members, we got a new club moderator...

I am in charge of comments and the contests. The last contest was held in 2005. No more of that. I hope we can have one contest at least every month.
The main reason why I am a new mod is because ~worm-baby has been inactive for a long time. So =parallellogic was the only person in charge of this club with 460+ members... However, worm-baby is the founder of the club, so we're going to leave her icon at the bottom of this journal.
So remember - questions about contests (and for whatever reason, comments) now go to *kurokurochan.

We have recently been informed about a fan-run project to bring the Zim series back to life right where it left off: by animating the story boards created by the original Zim staff but were never used. For more information, please read the news article here. =swiblet is one of the moderators of the IZFAS forum here and is mainly looking for animators, but many other positions are available such as voice acting, music and sound effects among others

Greetings, pig stinks! Long time, no interaction.

Now gather ‘round and let Aunty Club-Monkey tell you a story.

Once upon a time there was a pathetic little puke wart by the name of ~worm-baby. She liked kittens, buffalo wings, and a lovely little show known as Invader ZIM. One day, wormy decided it would be a maaarvelous idea to institute a club focused around the lovely little show. And so she built it, and so members came, along with their lovely little drawings based on the lovely little show.

What Wormy unfortunately did not know was just how hard it could be a run a club all by her pathetic little puke wart self, having to tend to adding members, coming up with contests, and submitting dozens of submissions only to be met with countless new requests each day. Coupled with the fact that she was studying a very demanding and time-consuming major in Earth college, and the fact that she was prone to bouts of laziness and avoidance of problems or stress, this led Wormy to begin neglecting the poor little club focused around the lovely little show.

And so the club began to rot.

Until one fine day, the pathetic little puke wart known as worm-baby noticed a note in her deviantART message centre from a stranger calling himself =parallellogic, inquiring about the club about the lovely little show. Upon being told that the club was as good as dead, the kind stranger offered his assistance with a new and intriguing process in order to bring the club back from the brink of a cold, lonely death. And so, worm-baby accepted and the club was promised to be dug up from the ashes of time.

That pathetic little puke wart, dear kiddies, was me, and the club that was focused on the lovely little show was ZIM-Lovers.


tldr version; ZIM-LOVERS IS REBORN!

Okay, well not this second, but it’s well on its way and you have ZIM-Lovers new mod, =parallellogic, to thank for getting the club back in order and my butt back in gear.

Over the next few days the club will be undergoing renovation and rejuvenation, from all backlogged submissions being uploaded, to reformatting and basically rewriting all the journals including the club rules, how to join, and guidelines on club submissions.

Now, just to clarify, as a mod, =parallellogic’s duties include adding members and club art. He will still default to me regarding questions about submissions and other assorted decisions. I will also continue to handle new comments, contests, (generally) the front page journals, and Etc.

All backlogged members have been added (411 and counting!) and we are open for submissions. Just take note that it may take a few days to process them.
